We have added an Active911 feed of our recent alarms on the Home Page.

Active911 is a service we use to track our responders for calls. It provides alarm information, tracking of GPS enabled devices, mapping, and directions to the scene. When a call is sent to us from dispatch, our responders who are available respond to the alert either by text message or through a smart phone app indicating that they are on the way and whether they are going to the scene or to one of the two fire stations to man apparatus. Other responders with smart phones can see who is responding to the call, and in some case, where the other responders are in real time. A monitor at station 1 also displays this information for all to see as they arrive. This allows us to streamline our response in that we can request or cancel additional resources as we see whether Colden personnel are responding and how many.
